Feb 12, 2012: National Recreational Fisheries Award to West River Watershed Project Lead, Daryl Guignion
Daryl Guignion, project lead for the West River project, received a national award, January 25th (2012), for his forty years of conservation efforts on the Island. Daryl has devoted countless hours of his time to restore stream habitat for Atlantic salmon and brook trout, starting with the restoration of the Morell River decades ago. He trained many of our leading Island conservationists during his years as a biology professor at UPEI. Today, he continues that dedication as the project lead on the West River. We are so lucky to have the expertise and knowledge of Daryl on our team. Congratulations Daryl, on an award well-deserved!
